What a day! There must be a full moon upon us, some of us forgot how to settle in today!
This morning we worked with the word "was". We have been getting more speedy with this, so some atudents had some time to read! "I've never read a book like this before!" I heard from one student as he picked a book from our class library.
In math we did some work on finding errors in a pattern, and correcting the pattern. We are so good at finding the error, we just need some work on correcting the pattern!
In science we explored our sense of touch today! We read a story that described the different types of feelings we may feel when we touch objects, rough/slimy/smooth/etc.
They were then to go on a "scavenger hunt" around the room to find an object for rough, squishy, fuzzy and hard. Talk about chaos, but we managed to get through with everyone completing the task!
We started our talk on the "it" word family today. We only had time to brainstorm words that would belong to this family. Next day we will be doing some work with these words!
We are building readers in our classroom!

Don't forget tomorrow is our Terry Fox Walk. Everyone is to bring a $2 donation. It is also Whalers day tomorrow, so remember to wear blue or white, or both!
Please please remember to write in your child's communication binder as to where they go after school. If they are a bus student and there isn't a note saying they go to an alternative place, I send them on the bus because that is what I think I need to do that day. This will help keep everyone on the same page. Thanks so much!!
