Our morning wasn't as exciting as yesterday morning! We read a sight word poem that had the word "were" in it.
In our Phonics time, we reviewed our precious short vowel sounds and then talked about the short vowel sound that "u" makes.
During ELA we read There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowef Some Snow.
After reading it, the students had some comprehension sheets and sequencing to do.
In Math we played some games that helped us work on our numeral words. As they played I pulled students just to see where they are at with their words one-on-one.
During our printing time we talked about the letter "r". After printing we had computers!
We ended the day with more spelling practice. The task was to pick 4 words and make 4 sentences, 1 spelling word in each sentence. I had some fantastic sentences!! I am so impressed with how far they have come! I have a couple who forget to leave finger spaces, but we are working on it!
Some of my speedy ones played with the Bananagrams again to spell words.
The weather is taking a turn, so please remember to send mitts, ski pants and toques!
Have a great night!
