I hope everyone had a good weekend, mine was crazy busy!
We started the morning with some ELA folder games so I could see where everyone is at with their sight words, and some other assessments for report cards.
During our ELA time we started to talk about writing letters. I asked them who they think we are writing to, and they all guessed it! Santa of course!
Some students completed their rough draft today, and I have a couple who almost did. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday we will have these completed and can send them off to the North Pole!
In Math, we created a bulletin board showing everyone that we can count to 20 using 10 Frames! And since the weather is getting chilly, we made "Hot Chocolate with Marshmellows!".
Today in Science we started our new unit. We created a Wonder Wall. The students wrote down questions that they "wonder" about when it comes to the weather and seasons.
During our Science time, I also had the students print a sentence. This is a way to assess the students on their printing and show you at interviews next week!
We had spelling today and got our new words! After last weeks spelling, I realized I could create some groups! So I have 2 groups- group 1 is Eliza, Gavin G, and Deandra. Group 2 is everyone else! I am sure I will end up with more groupings and switch them around. I do this so everyone can feel confident in their spelling and strive for success!
Groups 1 words are the white paper, and group 2 is the green paper.
I hope everyone has their twin costumes ready! Wednesday is Twin Day!
Thank you to everyone who brought in items to help our class out as we fly around the world! If anyone would like to bring items still we are looking for Swiss Rolls:)
Thank you!
