Sorry for the late post! After school I had to go coach some hockey and then go back to the school and ref some volleyball!
Today in our sight word poem we learned the word "one", which most of us knew from math already! Our poem talked about a snowman today...how fitting!
We completed our phonics books today! We skipped a lot of easy pages because I felt they didn't need to spend the time on them. We will be starting our new ones tomorrow- this book will be dealing with the vowels and their short sound.
In math we started class with some skip counting. I had some students finish their work from yesterday, which was putting the teen number words in order from 11-20.
For those that were done, they did a Roll A Pumpkin activity. This is a great activity for subitizing!
In printing, we talked about how we properly print a lowercase "e". There are some interesting "e's" being made!
In Science we talked about protecting our senses, and how we do that. It took some prompting, but they thought of some good ideas! They protect their senses everyday without even knowing it!
We started our scratch art today! We got the colouring part done, and a few got the painting done. We will finish the painting tomorrow and complete these!
Have a good night!
