Sorry for by posting last night! I had to run to hockey right after school and then back to the school for volleyball!
I only have half of the day to post as I was doing some testing this afternoon. Tomorrow I will not be blogging as I will be testing all day, and I don't think you want to hear about that! There will be notes going home either tomorrow or Monday explaining what I was testing for, and where your child is at in regards to their reading level.
Today during jolly phonics we learned he sound that "qu" makes. We had some extra time, so we played a game on the smart board.

Today we attempted rotations again during ELA. I had students names under which activity they were to go to. This is a time where students work independently or in pairs on their task. We will get to a point where we have more time- this will then allow for guided reading groups to take place so this is why it is super important that they understand their jobs during this time.
Today we compared bats and birds. I had a handful of students not participate in our class discussion, but the rest were fully engaged giving me tons of ideas from our story, Stellaluna!
In math we practiced subtracting 2 from a number. I usually have more confusion with subtraction- but this group is doing awesome!
If anything comes up tomorrow I will send out a reminder!
Have a good night!
